FACE TO FACE
For my college senior thesis, I wrote and illustrated a graphic memoir about my mother and myself. Through an exploration of our upbringings and lives, I set out to uncover how we, as Chinese Americans, utilize beauty as forms of cultural capital. As I navigate between Chinese and American culture, I come to find that beauty is not merely about appearances but also embodiment.
